Bonjour dear couples! This editorial means a lot to me because planned and worked on the concept. From the unique blue plissé wedding gown to the stunning florals, there were so many exquisite and timeless details that brought this inspiration shoot together, and the fine art wedding photographer Anja Schneemann captured them beautifully. If you´ re getting married near Frankfurt or in this stunning venue „Alleesaal“, in Bad Schwalbach, don´t miss this Something Blue Wedding with Toile de Jouy Details!
The Venue: Guests from all over Europe and abroad have stayed in the former „Hotel Alleesaal“, including Tsarina Marie of Russia in 1864 and Empress Elisabeth of Austria in 1897. Built in the classical style in 1820/21, the beautiful historical salons of „Alleesaal“ in Bad Schwalbach Germany shine again in their former glory after major restoration. This dreamy wedding and event venue has everything a bride may dream of for a fairy tale romantic wedding or reception. The rooms are decorated with rich neoclassical decorations in stucco and paintings on silk. There is a branch of the registration office in the venue so that civil weddings can take place directly in those stunning salons.
This editorial was inspired by the beauty of the two soft blue salons of the Bad Schwalbach historical venue. As soon as you come in, you are transported into the past and can dream about the gorgeous feasts which were celebrated here. It was easy to fall in love with the location and to envision a modern-romantic inspired wedding in this venue! Our bride wore the most incredible and glamorous Katherine Tash Bridal plissé blue gown and Bella Belle wedding heels. The makeup artist Julia Götz worked her magic and created an effortlessly cool and radiant look with sexy hair using Jannie Baltzer bridal accessories. The subtil pearl-effect makeup complemented perfectly the light shimmer of her dress. For the groom, we chose a night Blue chic smoking from Siödam Die Villa. Together they were the epitome of modern elegance.
The floral designer Die Kathe selected dried Hydrangea, toffee and white Kahala roses, white tulips, carnations, ranunculus, and blue oxypetalum to create lush and airy florals. The florals made a fantastic contrast and complimented the black marble fireplace used as background for the ceremony setting and the end of reception table.
The wedding stationery: I knew exactly what kind of wedding stationery I wanted to create to match the concept of this shoot: elegant paper goods which would combine vintage hand-drawn elements inspired by those utterly beautiful stucco walls, and a clean chic typography. My favorite piece was the French toile envelope liner, a „clin d´œil“ to my French roots.
For the table setting, we chose a light and modern styling: organic ivory ceramic plates from French artisan Eloise Dubois Céramique, vintage gold candleholders, blue glasses and clear ghosts chairs- courtesy of Oh Wie Fein Deko- to balance the opulence of the room. The beautiful detail: bespoke napkins printed on fine linen fabric with the same French Toile pattern found in the envelope liner. Florals in Ikebana style and menus adorned with blue tassels were the finishing touches.
The gorgeous wedding cake created by Greta Gold Cakes featured gold bas relief sugar decorations, to mimic the stucco walls. She baked some cute round gold and blue cookies which were added on small ceramic plates for the sweet-toothed guests.
